PCB Layout and Routing





Below is the main board for the VX BlueShift headset, I did the PCB routing for this 8 layer board, which included highspeed DisplayPort, MIPI , and USB 3.0 traces needing tight impedance control, up to 20V Power trace routing, and multiple sensitive ICs. This took about 2 weeks with no changes needed for functionality.

PCB layout is a skill I had a chance to learn and practice over the summer of 2020, doing a couple 2 and 4 layer boards, getting to this 8 layer board with impedance-controlled traces. I enjoyed figuring it out as well as managing the sourcing and manufacturing of it as well.
